Kali
expresses herself in many ways. Her smile and her eyes are
full of who she is. She makes some noises and squeals and laughs
and has a very Kali gait and walk. In the park (Council Crest
Park) this day in March 2003, she ran up and down the sidewalks, played
on the lawn and of course tried to play in the water fountain.
Typical, normal Kali.
I had just moved into a new duplex.
Closer to downtown Portland. Kali had her own bedroom.
Her toys and some clothes, pictures, and books and her bed. She
would wake up in the middle of the night and turn on her light. I
fixed her light so it would not turn on. She still would get up
and read her books, even in the dark. She also likes to bang on
things with her hand/palm and fist. She likes things that make
sounds when she bangs. She discovered the bedroom wall and was happily
banging on the wall shared by our landlords bedroom at 2AM. Asking
her to stop like asking any 2 year old, was iffy and sometime dangerous,
spurring her on to even higher levels of banging.
